Human of One Labs

Reading is unlimited. You pay to ask something new.

Every plan includes unlimited access to the nine tools that search and inspect H[1]’s existing evidence corpus. Plans differ only by how many new research questions you can commission each month.

Before using your allowance, H[1] checks whether the corpus already answers your question. If it does, the existing assessment is returned at no additional cost.

Included with every hosted plan

  • Unlimited access to all nine evidence-reading tools
  • Outcome-specific GRADE certainty assessments
  • Every domain judgment and its supporting rationale
  • Included and excluded studies, with reasons for exclusion
  • Secure OAuth 2.1 authorization
  • No allowance used when a question is already covered
  • Machine-readable results for integration into AI and software workflows

Card details go straight to Stripe — they never touch this server, and we never see a card number. Cancel any time from the billing portal — access runs to the end of the period you have paid for.

Why new assessments use an allowance

Reading an existing assessment is a lightweight query. Commissioning a new one requires H[1] to identify and screen the relevant research, assess individual studies, evaluate the evidence as a whole, and add a traceable result to the corpus.

A typical assessment examines approximately twenty studies and takes several minutes to complete, although the exact workload depends on the question and available literature.

Each question is assessed only once. When the same question is asked again, H[1] returns the existing assessment without using another customer’s allowance.

Questions to consider before subscribing

Can I use H[1] for free?

The local stdio server can read a markdown evidence corpus without an account, database, or network connection. It is intended as a development option and cannot commission new research assessments.

The hosted service includes secure connector access, the maintained H[1] corpus, and the ability to commission new questions.

What data does H[1] receive?

When you use the hosted connector, H[1] receives the research question submitted for assessment. H[1] is designed to evaluate published evidence—not personal records or individual health information. Personal or protected health information should not be submitted.

Running the local stdio server does not send information to H[1].

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. You can cancel through the billing portal without contacting us. Your access will continue until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

What happens if I exceed my monthly allowance?

H[1] will not automatically charge you for unexpected overages. Contact us if you need additional capacity, and we will help identify the appropriate plan.

Do you offer annual agreements, invoicing, or purchase orders?

Why not simply ask a general-purpose LLM?

You can—and it may produce a useful summary. But a fluent summary is not the same as a structured evaluation of scientific evidence.

A general-purpose LLM does not automatically apply the same evidence standard every time, separate certainty by outcome, preserve every risk-of-bias judgment, explain why studies were excluded, or maintain a traceable relationship between a claim and the evidence supporting it.

H[1] supplies that missing structure. It gives the LLM an assessed evidence base, an explicit methodology, and an audit trail that can be inspected by both people and machines.
