Human of One Labs

Terms of service

What we provide, what it costs, what it is not, and how either of us ends it.

Who we are

Human of One Labs, Inc. (“we”) operates the HumanOfOne MCP server (“the service”) at humanofonelabs.com. Using the service means accepting these terms.

What the service does

The service applies GRADE — the method used for certainty of evidence in systematic reviews and clinical guidelines — to the published literature, and returns a certainty rating for a stated question and outcome, together with the judgments the rating was derived from.

It is reached as an MCP server over OAuth 2.1. Nine read tools are unmetered. graded_research commissions a question that is not yet covered and draws on your monthly allowance.

What the service is not

Ratings are machine-assessed from the published record and are not reviewed by a clinician before they are returned. A certainty rating describes how much confidence the published evidence supports for an outcome. It is not a statement about the size of an effect, and it is not a statement about any individual person.

Nothing the service returns is medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Do not use it to make a decision about anyone's health or care without that professional.

The service reports three answers that are not ratings — too thin to score, not covered, and a null result. These are honest answers, not malfunctions, and they draw on the allowance in the same way a rating does.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your credentials, and for keeping your OAuth tokens to yourself. One subscription is for one business. Tell us promptly if you think a token has leaked and we will revoke and reissue it.

Acceptable use

Do not present a rating as human-reviewed, as clinical guidance, or as a claim about a named individual. Do not resell raw output as your own assessment of the evidence. Do not attempt to exceed your allowance by circumventing metering, and do not use the service to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.

The corpus is shared across customers rather than held per-tenant. A question one customer commissions becomes readable by all of them — which is why a question already covered costs nothing.

Payment

Plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Card details go to Stripe and are never held by us. The allowance resets each billing period and does not roll over. Cancellation and refunds are covered in refunds and cancellation.

Availability

We do not offer a service level guarantee. We aim to keep the service up and to be straight with you when it is not. Commissioning a question takes about three minutes and depends on services we do not control; a delay is not by itself a failure. If the service was meaningfully unavailable during a period you paid for, that is covered under refunds.

Changes

We may change the service, the rubric or these terms. A change to the rubric can change what a rating comes out as — that is the point of a derived rating rather than a stored one, and the method behind it stays published on the method. We will give notice of a material change to these terms or to what a plan includes.

Ending it

You can cancel at any time; see cancellation. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, that charges back rather than contacting us, or that we are required to stop serving. If we end your account for anything other than a breach, we refund the unused remainder of the period.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
